"I have the same feeling when I walk in a very beautiful place that I have when I play and it goes right
Jacqueline du Pre

I teach younger students using concepts from the Suzuki method and a more traditional approach with older students. I take great care to show my students how to position and use their fingers, arms and shoulders in such a way as to not cause unnecessary tension, while still producing a beautiful tone.

I am particularly interested in introducing my students to a tension-free playing approach based on a variety of pedagogical methods, as natural body motions create the best ground work for establishing a solid and relaxed string technique.

Once the basics are established, technique is further developed through the weekly assignment of scales played in bowing patterns, method books and beautiful repertoire.
